How We Started

Starting as a hobby for personal heating needs, the gathering, splitting, and seasoning of wood has grown to a passion. Providing quality firewood products at a fair price is our focus, but we also provide splitting, stacking, and cleanup services.

With just a few felled trees, a small chainsaw, and a borrowed splitting maul, Matt started bucking and splitting what was available in preparation for the coming winters.

Quickly, the passion grew and more opportunities were presented to gather wood, provide a quality seasoned firewood, and work with other local service providers to provide products and services.

Despite having no truck, alternative solutions were found to transport raw materials and products, including converting a sedan for use as a makeshift transport.

While we started small, we refined processes and manage growth with the focus on quality products, no matter the size of the operation.
